Chico Common App, XBRL-CET and SGIP PAP25 are not designed to be commercial endeavors, they are collaboration efforts with educational tools that can act as a catalyst for innovation where the neutral campus platform and emerging open standards combine to provide the tipping point for national adoption of federally recognized machine readable data standards.
The efficiency is needed now more than ever by our nation as we work to rebuild after Harvey, Irma and Maria as quickly and efficiently as possible.
For our neighbors that will be inundated with government recovery dollars, we are accelerating our efforts to develop resources that can reduce burdens as federal, state and local agencies better meet the challenge of a high volume of contracts, while reducing the burdens on small local companies being able to participate.
For our neighbors that will be inundated with insurance recovery dollars, we are accelerating our efforts to develop resources that can reduce burdens and promote confidence as public and private entities manage the high volume of solar repairs and rebuilding with too few solar installation contractors for the volume required
Hopefully by our group sharing our approach as part of the hack-a-thon we can make any adjustments to align with the national strategy, and we can contribute to the national effort by providing examples of an entire supply chain exchanging data efficiently and securely, starting with our neighbors in need.
Our short term goal is just a simple common app in XBRL/FIBO and using a commonly used electronic bond.
Bigger objectives are to show our gulf states, Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands how to use financing to get qualified EPCs to rebuild the grid with hardened DG solar and utility scale solar and wind. Add energy storage to smooth intermittency and fossil fuel generators as backups. Make the gulf states and Caribbean islands a showcase of the modern grid, reboot the local economies and turn them into a launch pad for well trained energy experts who can go help other places as this continues to happen around the globe.
